Victorian novelty porcelain scent bottle in the form of a beige and dark speckled sparrow's egg with registration mark on base for Macintyre & Co of Burslem (Rd No 20772). Capped with a hinged sterling top decorated with an ornate Art Nouveau motif.

The design was registered to James Macintyre's Washington China Works in Burslem. A lot of similar bottles were produced in cooperation between Macintyre and Sampson Mordan, with Mordan providing silver mounts for these wonderful perfume bottles.
