Art Deco gilt sterling silver lady's cigarette case or card case
Art Deco gilt sterling silver lady’s cigarette case dating to the George V period. Oblong rounded form is engraved all over with an attractive engine-turned beehive pattern. The interior is sumptuously gilded and has two sections with original bands.
There is a vacant cartouche to the lid, so this can be engraved and personalised as a present.
Perfect size to be used as a card case, or a very fashionable wallet with plenty of space both for business cards and banknotes.
Made by John Rose and fully assayed for Birmingham, 1929
