Japanese Meiji era baluster bronze vase with flower and bird motif

Finely decorated Meiji Period Japanese bronze vase dating to the 1880's. The vase is of baluster form with applied decoration depicting a bird nestling among blossoming prunus trees. The neck features an intricate engraved foliate design.

5 cm top diameter
4 cm base diameter
7 cm across widest part

Very good antique condition. Wear to base; tiny chip to neck; few dings to body.
