George III sterling silver mustard pot and spoon, Duncan Urquhart & Naphtali Hart, 1809

George III large sterling silver lidded mustard pot and a Victorian mustard spoon. The baluster body has a ribbed girdle and is raised on ball feet; the top is trimmed with a gadrooned border and the interior is gold washed. The pot comes with a Bristol blue glass liner and has two vacant cartouches, so it can be personalised.

The mustard spoon is fiddle-shaped and has a lightly gilded bowl.

Pot made by Duncan Urquhart & Naphtali Hart and fully hallmarked for London, 1809; spoon made by Henry Holland (of Holland, Aldwinckle & Slater) and hallmarked for London, 1872.

Silver weight – 164.98 g / 5.30 t oz

Spoon – 13 cm
Pot – 7 cm tall, 7 cm wide, 11 cm across from handle

Good antique condition. Wear to gilt inside; there is slight gaping between the body of the pot and the base; small split to silver underneath the handle.
